Native English Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY

As an English Teacher at Little Hearts, you will be responsible for conducting daily English lessons for school-aged children (Grades 3–12). Little Hearts is a residential institution, not a day school, so your role will go far beyond traditional teaching — we’re looking for someone who can also serve as a mentor, a creative guide, and a reliable role model.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Facilitate interactive learning activities that promote student participation
• Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly
• Inspire and support the children through mentorship and guidance
• Collaborate with staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Location: Applicants must currently reside in Phnom Penh. Our center is located in Arey Ksat, approximately 10–15 minutes by ferry from Naga World and under 2 km from the ferry dock.
• Language: Fluent English required (spoken and written).
• Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English, education, or communications. A language-teaching qualification such as TEFL is also highly desirable.
• Experience: Prior experience in teaching English, particularly to school-aged children (Grades 3–12), is essential.
• Character: We’re looking for someone with a strong personality, a genuine love for working with children, and a proven ability to manage and inspire young learners.
• Creativity & Passion: Must be resourceful, creative, and deeply committed to helping children thrive.
• Age Range: Applicants between 25–50 years old are encouraged to apply.
• References: Verifiable references are required.
